What You’ll Do
As a key member of our Clinical Informatics team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting our Epic EHR systems, with a focus on Beaker. You’ll collaborate with clinical leaders, IT professionals, and frontline staff to:
- Design, implement, and optimize Epic and related clinical applications
- Configure workflows, update documentation, and train staff on Epic functionality
- Analyze clinical processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Translate operational needs into smart, scalable EHR solutions
- Support federal initiatives around patient safety, quality, and compliance
- Build strong partnerships across departments to ensure seamless system integration and support
This is a hands-on role where your technical skills and clinical insight will directly impact how care is delivered.
What You Bring
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Epic Beaker certifications (Anatomical, Clinical, Blood Bank) preferred—or willingness to complete Epic training and certification within 12 months
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive healthcare experience, ideally in a hospital or clinical setting
- Proven success in IT system deployment, clinical systems support, or business analysis
- Familiarity with Epic systems, lab workflows, and healthcare operations
- Bonus points for experience with SAS, JMP, or other statistical tools
Skills & Abilities
- Deep understanding of clinical documentation, workflows, and data relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead meetings, manage projects, and drive decisions
- Excellent communication—both verbal and written
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams
