United States University is looking for an experienced DNP Program Director to join the College of Nursing & Health Sciences.

The Program Director provides leadership, operational management, and oversight of daily administrative functions for designated programs under the guidance of the College of Nursing & Health Sciences Leadership. Specifically, the Program Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising program outcomes to ensure alignment with educational goals, accreditation standards, and program review requirements. In addition, the Program Director plays a key role in the recruitment, supervision, and evaluation of faculty, supporting those who advance the mission of the University. This includes mentoring and motivating faculty, advising students, delivering classroom instruction, evaluating student performance, and guiding students toward successful program completion. The Program Director also fosters and models effective teaching practices that promote academic excellence.

  • Continuously monitor the development, implementation, and evaluation of the DNP program curriculum to ensure alignment with up-to-date standards set by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)

  • Lead the development and refinement of curriculum content, course sequencing, and program outcomes to reflect evolving professional, regulatory, and accreditation expectations

  • Oversee curriculum cross-mapping efforts by systematically analyzing and documenting how courses, clinical experiences, and DNP scholarly projects address required knowledge areas and professional competencies

  • Participate in accreditation and reaccreditation processes by preparing required documentation and supporting evidence related to curriculum standards

  • Screen, interview, hire, mentor, and supervise full-time and adjunct teaching faculty in the programs; Collaborate with nursing leadership in interviewing and recommending the hire of full-time faculty for the programs; mentor and supervise full-time lead faculty in assigned programs, including Faculty Success Coordinator; conduct faculty performance evaluations

  • Offer and confirm faculty teaching assignments

  • Collaborate with faculty to revise courses and curriculum

  • Design and propose major curricular changes to the dean of nursing as needed; participate in the implementation and evaluation of learning outcomes

  • Collaborate with the registrar's office, student services, academic advisers, deans, and the Office of Field Experience (OFE) as needed to enhance learning experiences for students

  • Collaborate with OFE to ensure immersion experiences are appropriate and approve preceptor qualifications

  • Inform and collaborate as needed with the Dean about faculty performance issues

  • Develop and participate in Institutional Review Board (IRB)

  • Participate in community service, research, or practice

  • Attend and participate in all College of Nursing meetings, participate in University-wide committees, and take part in major academic events such as graduation as required

  • Participate in exhibiting at conferences as requested

  • Maintain active membership in select national nursing organizations

  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to remain current in the role

  • Teach DNP and FNP courses as needed

Previous Experience:

  • Experience teaching in online nursing education

  • Substantive experience in nursing higher education, nursing practice, and leadership roles

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

:

  • A DNP degree is

  • Unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse

  • Unencumbered Family Nurse Practitioner license and National Board Certification

  • Substantive teaching, leadership, and clinical experience

  • Experience teaching in a nurse practitioner program; experience with application of evidence into clinical practice and distance learning and online academic technology

Work Environment:

This position may involve working in a combination of office and classroom environments. Travel by car, plane, train, and other modes of transportation may be required for this position.
