Key Responsibilities
The Director of Sales provides education and information concerning Optimal Care Hospice services in general to the community, physicians and other health care professionals. This Director of Sales manages the sales team.  
 
In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Identification and monitoring of primary and secondary service areas.
  • Responsible for development and effectiveness of a strategic plan that addresses Optimal Care service/product lines.
  • Networking with physicians to develop specialized programs and opportunities for growth in the organization.
  • Develops process to track data, analyze data and make necessary changes for growth in the organization.
  • Maintains an awareness of current trends in hospice by participating in educational programs and seminars.
  • Participates with staff to develop and produce necessary educational materials for distribution to interested parties.
  • Meets with community groups, various health care professionals and other interested parties to provide information programs on the services available to homebound patients/clients in the primary/secondary service areas.
  • Provides feedback to staff in response to service reports received from the community or individual patients/clients, physicians or discharge planners.
  • Responds to issues involving concerns over service by meeting with management staff and assisting in problem resolution.
  • Other tasks as designated by Administrator or Director of Nursing.
Required Qualifications
  • At least two years experience in health care strategic development.
  • Experience in healthcare sales, particularly in hospice or palliative care. 
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage
  • Proven interpersonal, coordination, and leadership skills with ability to communicate effectively
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of hospice and palliative care
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrates active involvement in professional organizations and community activities

Home Office: Bingham Farms, Jackson, OR Grand Rapids
Main Service Area: All Optimal Care services areas
 
Hours
Office Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
