Job Description​

The Diabetes Educator Registered Nurse serves as a role model consultant change agent instructor and facilitator in assessing learning needs and in planning implementing and evaluating educational activities for nursing staff. Serves as a clinical and educational consultant to promote and support the professional practice environment maximum performance and quality patient care. Provides diabetes selfmanagement training for patients either newly diagnosed with diabetes or with identified diabetes needs such as hypoglycemia and diabetic ketoacidosis.
