Job Description
Plans and conducts nutritional programs, under supervision, to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease. Provides nutritional assessment, education and counseling to individuals and/or groups. Serves as a resource on nutrition and dietetics to nurses, health educators or other health care providers in the facility.
Job Responsibility
Job Qualification
Master's Degree in Food, Nutrition or Dietetics, required. Registered Dietitian, required OR Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, required. Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
Current Diabetes Educator Certification, required.
Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible, related experience to ensure familiarity with scope of program.
Experience with Endocrinology, preferred.
Ambulatory experience, preferred.
