Counselor II - Health Educator

Seven Hills Behavioral Health, an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation

 

The Counselor II-Health Educator will be responsible for providing direct health education services through the use of nationally recognized best practices, comprehensive sexuality education, positive youth development, trauma-informed care, sustainability, and a commitment to health equity and racial justice. These services will be provided at schools, community-based organizations, young parent shelters and others as identified. The Health Educator is part of a DPH licensed program (Adolescent Sexuality Education) which provides comprehensive sexuality education to young people ages eleven (11) to twenty-one (21) across the commonwealth in communities that bear burden of the high teen birth and/or sexually transmitted infections.

 

Pay: $24.03/hour

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct health education services using evidence-based practices, comprehensive sexuality education, and a trauma-informed, equity-focused approach
  • Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Document services accurately and timely using agency systems (e.g., EHR, Virtual Gateway, CRM)
  • Identify and report risk or ethical concerns to supervisory or licensed senior staff immediately
  • Promote client-centered care that honors client voice, choice, and diverse perspectives
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and participate actively in agency meetings and trainings
  • Support administrative needs such as data collection, reporting, and compliance tracking as needed
  • Foster inclusive, respectful, and strengths-based interactions with clients and colleagues
  • Maintain clear professional boundaries and awareness of safety/risk concerns
  • Engage in continuous learning, supervision, self-reflection, and professional development
  • Adhere to all agency procedures related to billing, documentation, and administrative tasks

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma

  • Standard driver’s license – class C or class D

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Training and Education: Providing education and training to individuals and their families on relevant topics.
  • Community Outreach: Engaging with the community to promote services.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately documenting care and services provided and reporting any changes or incidents.
