Clinical Systems Analyst/Trainer – HCLL Mediware & Epic Beaker

We’re seeking a dynamic Clinical Systems Analyst/Trainer to join our forward-thinking Clinical Informatics team. This high-impact role sits at the intersection of technology and patient care—visible to clinicians and instrumental in shaping workflows that align with JCAHO, HIPAA, CAP, FDA, AABB, and other regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to configure and optimize enterprise applications like HCLL Mediware and Epic Beaker
  • Translate clinical and operational needs into smart, scalable EHR solutions
  • Design workflows, update documentation, and deliver hands-on training to clinical staff
  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements that enhance compliance, safety, and efficiency
  • Serve as a trusted partner to clinicians, IT teams, and business stakeholders—building solutions that work in real-world settings
  • Provide 24/7 support and maintenance for mission-critical systems

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IT, or related field preferred (Medical Technology ASCP a plus)
  • Epic Beaker certifications (Anatomical, Clinical, Blood Bank) required—or must be obtained within 60 days of completing training
  • Must complete all required training programs within 90 days of hire; certifications must remain current

Experience That Sets You Apart

  • 5+ years of progressive healthcare experience, ideally in a hospital or major medical center
  • Hands-on expertise with HCLL Mediware Blood Bank and Epic Beaker integration
  • Familiarity with Data Innovations and clinical software systems
  • Strong understanding of lab, microbiology, and pathology workflows
  • Experience supporting healthcare operations like billing, scheduling, and HIM
  • Bonus: Advanced skills in SAS, JMP, or other statistical software

Skills You’ll Bring

  • Deep knowledge of clinical systems, EHR configuration, and healthcare IT standards
  • Ability to analyze workflows and configure systems that improve safety and efficiency
  • Proficiency in flowcharting tools, web-based technologies, and analytics
  • Strong communication and project management skills—able to lead meetings, resolve conflicts, and drive decisions
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • A natural collaborator who builds trust across departments and levels
