POSITION SUMMARY
Under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a good understanding of applicable clinical systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity, capabilities, limitations, cost-effectiveness and desired results. Includes analysis of clinical, business, and user needs, regulatory requirements, documentation requirements, and translation of those requirements into proper system requirements specifications suitable for the technical staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s degree in Lab Sciences or related field, some experience may be substituted for education.
• One to 3 years of related work experience is required.
• Must be able to solve complex problems utilized in a highly technical and changing environment.
• Must have excellent coordination skills to manage multiple activities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills are a must.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Sciences or related field, some experience may be substituted for education.
• Medical Laboratory Specialist (MLS) certificate is preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience.
