About the role

The Transition to Practice team supports over 250 learners across Eastern Health across nursing, midwifery and allied health professions.The Clinical Support Nurse is situated within the clinical area and is responsible for providing direct clinical support and mentoring of Transition to Practice (Graduate and Early Career) learners, within educational programs supporting novice staff to develop high quality clinical practice.

Note: Clinical Support is across multiple clinical areas and EH sites. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Essential:

• Bachelor of Nursing or other recognized equivalent formal qualification leading to condition free registration in Australia  RN Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian (NMBA) via AHPRA
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Desirable:

• Post Registration or Post Graduate qualification or further study in a relevant clinical or academic field or working towards
• Cert IV Training and Assessment

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
