Role Title: Clinical Specialist - Wound Closure
Role Type: Full-Time
Location: Kuwait
The Clinical Specialist – Wound Closure will provide expert clinical and technical support for Johnson & Johnson’s advanced wound closure portfolio across hospitals and surgical centers in Kuwait. This role is responsible for ensuring the correct and safe use of our sutures, and tissue closure devices in the operating room (OR), offering clinical education, and supporting healthcare professionals in achieving optimal patient outcomes.
The Clinical Specialist will act as a trusted partner to surgeons, nurses, and operating room teams while collaborating closely with the commercial team to strengthen product adoption and reinforce Johnson & Johnson’s leadership in surgical care.
Follows administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. Excellent understanding of customer, business intelligence, and industry trends. Maintains high standards of professionalism, efficiency, personal communication, discretion, and independent judgment. Leverages strategic partnerships for customer acquisition and reviews customer demands and feedback. Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and services, and escalates unusual cases to manager. Helps track information resulting from clinical, procedural, and technical discussions for reference.

Key Responsibilities:
Operating Room Support:
Attend surgeries and provide on-site guidance to surgeons and OR staff on the proper use of Johnson & Johnson wound closure products.
Ensure the safe and effective application of the latest technologies in sutures, stapling, and tissue closure.
Troubleshoot product-related issues and ensure adherence to best surgical practices.
Clinical Education & Training:
Conduct workshops, in-service trainings, and clinical education sessions for surgical and nursing teams.
Support hospital staff competency development for new and existing wound closure technologies.
Participate in professional conferences, product launches, and training programs.
Collaboration with Commercial Team:
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify customer needs and provide clinical support during evaluations and conversions.
Assist in the introduction of new technologies and support post-launch clinical follow-up.
Customer Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key surgeons, nurses, and hospital administrators.
Serve as a clinical resource for healthcare professionals across Kuwait.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Health Care, Medical Technology, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, wound management, and sterile technique.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in English and Arabic.
Experience in surgical practice, clinical education, or medical device support— preferably in wound closure is highly desirable.
Experience in operating room settings or medical device companies is highly desirable.
Ability to engage confidently with surgeons and OR staff in high-pressure environments.
Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
