Clinical Specialist - Family After School Program
Great opportunity to join our Family After School Program as a Clinical Specialist!
Riverside’s Family After-School Program offers a structured, therapeutic environment for children ages 6-12 in the Cambridge and Somerville areas who have faced challenges including neglect, homelessness, and trauma. With a focus on clinically intensive, trauma-informed services, the program helps children develop coping skills, self-expression, and peer relationships, while supporting family involvement through regular events and collaboration.
As a Clinical Specialist, you’ll play a key role in shaping a trauma-informed, culturally responsive program that meets the complex needs of children facing multiple stressors — including mental health challenges, trauma, limited community supports & resources, and language barriers.
The Clinical Specialist will:

Support and coach program staff, ensuring high-quality, clinically driven care and consistency across the team
Develop assessment and treatment plans
Lead clinical reviews and case prioritization
Formulate diagnostic impressions
Make recommendations to families and providers that truly reflect each family’s needs and strengths
Schedule: Full Time 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday
