DIS is currently seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate is a clinically savvy, emotionally intelligent professional who thrives in fast-paced healthcare environments. They blend technical expertise with a deep understanding of clinical workflows, build strong cross-functional relationships, and adapt quickly to change. With a sharp analytical mind and a people-first approach, they drive innovation and elevate care through smart informatics solutions.

Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with clinical teams to assess informatics needs and translate them into system requirements.
  • Support the development, testing, and deployment of EHR enhancements and clinical decision support tools.
  • Train and educate healthcare providers on informatics systems and best practices.
  • Monitor data integrity, system performance, and user satisfaction.
  • Analyze clinical workflows and recommend improvements using informatics tools.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT, clinical staff, and administrative departments.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and data analytics projects.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Clinical background (e.g., RN, MD, PharmD) strongly preferred.
  • Certification in Health Informatics (e.g., CAHIMS, CPHIMS) is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical informatics or health IT.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

  • Knowledge of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)

Salary is commensurate with experience.
