Clinical Informatics Educator - Clinic Operations Admin - FT - Days

The Clinical Informatics Educator is responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating programs to improve employees' skills and knowledge. The educator coordinates system workflow changes and provides onsite support to ensure operational consistencies.

• Responsible for the development and delivery of EHR system training for clinic staff.
  • Assesses educational needs and competencies to develop programs to improve efficiencies and system application skills.
  • Develops and maintains curriculum, course outline, objectives, teaching methods, and evaluation tools consistent with multi-generational approaches to learning.
  • Selects and implements appropriate training methods to meet educational goals.
  • Prioritizes educational programs with respect to organizational needs to promote employees' personal and professional growth.
• Leads ongoing optimization efforts, workflow evaluations, and the design of the practice management system.
  • Partners with IT staff to coordinate upgrades or modifications, testing, and development of educational materials.
  • Adjusts training programs to ensure relevant and accurate information is delivered.
  • Monitors program and regulatory changes and makes recommendations for new and revised EHR system workflows.
  • Ensures uniform practices of the system are consistent with organization and industry standards.
• Evaluates program training effectiveness.
  • Evaluates effectiveness and appropriateness of programs offered through program evaluation and EHR analytics.
  • Creates development plans and strategies for staff retraining - individually and organizationally.

Education:

• Associate's Degree
• Bachelor's Degree

Graduate from an accredited, state-approved school of nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Experience:

• 5
•  

Clinical experience (with degree requirement) or two (2) years of clinical experience (with bachelor's degree) in a hospital or clinic setting using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Experience in an educator or trainer role in a healthcare setting

Experience as a subject matter expert utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems

Skills:
