PURPOSE
Manages and conducts training activities to include development of curriculum and delivery of job specific training related to clinical practice such as clinical/nursing orientation, mandatory compliance training, skills assessment and in-service programs, and physician/APC onboarding and training. Also leads projects related to clinical workflows and skills improvement. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collaborates with departments to identify training needs and develops training and documentation specific to clinical workflows, policies and procedures and/or computer applications specific to the clinical area.
- Designs and develops curriculum and delivers job specific training related to clinical practice such as clinical/nursing and physician/APC orientation, mandatory compliance training, skills assessment and in-service programs. Participates in system upgrades through analysis, testing and development of documentation to support workflows and procedures specific to clinical areas.
- Leads workflow and process improvement projects working with Nursing Supervisors and other stakeholders, and other clinical educators.
- Actively participates in Nursing Operations and sub-group committees, as well as provides regular training updates.
- Continuously updates knowledge base in order to stay current on changes and/or updates related to clinical practice roles and responsibilities, practice areas and standards of care i.e. immunizations, IV therapy, new specialty areas, skills, etc.
- Identifies training needs, developing training materials (including eLearning modules), and conducting training.
- Keeps peers in the loop of continuous knowledge updates and current on changes and updates related to clinical practice roles and responsibilities, practice areas and standards of care.
- Coordinates class schedules, maintains and revises curriculum, and conducts clinical and physician/APC training including documentation, skills assessment, practice issues, etc.
- Provides training for clinical staff on new system functionality relevant to practice area and/or job.
- Supports clinical new hire training as needed.
- Serves as a resource for Clinic management and staff.
- Identifies internal and external training resources and coordinates scheduling as needed.
- Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.
- Regular and dependable attendance.
- Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on ARC Share Point.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains attendance records and program evaluations.
- Assists with New Employee Orientation as needed.
- Performs new employee follow-ups as needed.
- Attends meetings, participates in workgroups and/or serves on committees as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Three (3) or more years of clinical experience.
Preferred:. One (1) or more years of previous project management or training experience. Experience working with medical EPIC Practice Management.
Certificate/License: Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas. Required to maintain a current registered nursing license during employment. Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card or within 60 days of hire required.

- Strong computer skills, including MS office.
