Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually
The Clinical Education Specialist serves as a clinical expert across multiple healthcare domains, including infection control, wound care, surgical procedures, vascular access, LVAD, durable medical equipment (DME), remote patient monitoring (RPM), and related areas.
This role provides clinical support to sales teams, delivers customer training, and leads education initiatives designed to enhance product adoption, utilization, and long-term customer satisfaction. The Clinical Education Specialist plays a vital role in shaping the customer experience and driving business objectives through effective training and implementation programs.
Serve as a clinical education expert for both internal teams and external healthcare professionals, delivering training, education programs, and clinical support.
Lead field-based product evaluations, implementations, and tailored training plans that directly support sales success.
Provide field training for sales associates, independent representatives, and per diem clinical staff to ensure competence and consistency in education delivery.
Execute education programs and initiatives that enhance customer outcomes and clinical skill development.
Conduct customer needs assessments, analyze field feedback, and collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and resolve clinical challenges.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), supporting educational initiatives and projects.
Represent the organization at professional conferences, trade shows, and industry events, strengthening visibility and influence.
Stay current on clinical practice guidelines, testing standards, regulatory requirements, and competitive market trends.
Participate in new product development activities by providing clinical insight and contributing to training strategies for product launches.
Support clinical research and trials, ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
Collaborate with Clinical, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop educational content, presentations, and clinical messaging.
Deliver education through a variety of platforms, including webinars, eLearning tools, and digital training programs.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
Experience
3–5 years of clinical nursing experience in one or more of the following areas: Operating Room, Wound Care, Infection Control, Vascular Access, or Critical Care.
1–2 years of experience as a nursing educator or preceptor with a focus on training and development.
1–2 years of experience in the medical device industry preferred, particularly in customer-facing education roles.
Education
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
Credentials
Registered Nurse (RN), licensed and in good standing (required).
Nursing certifications (e.g., WCC, CNOR, CIC, CCRN) preferred.
