Position Summary:

The Clinical Education Manager will be responsible for the management of a team, strategic and tactical operations of the team to ensure the achievement of business results and highest regard for patient care and outcomes.  This individual will be a player-coach who understands, articulates, and supports the organization’s mission, vision, goals and strategies and possesses the ability to translate them effectively to the clinical education team.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures Clinical Education team effectiveness through 1:1 field travel and coaching.

  • Ensures employee and customer competency through the development, retention and performance management of the clinical team.

  • Manages the recruitment of clinical education team including building a recruiting bench for the team.

  • Maintains in depth technical knowledge of Imaging, Navigation, Robotics products as well as applicable procedures, anatomy, and implant products.

  • Participates in the Train-the-Trainer process and to act as a best-practices coach to Globus field team members

  • Improves patient outcomes by ensuring surgeons and the field team are properly trained and prepared to support patients with Globus Medical products

  • Contributes to the design and improvement of the training and certification programs

  • Provides comprehensive hands on training to potential customers through cadaver bioskills labs

  • Works with MERC Group Manager to customize training programs for the evolution of surgical technique and ExcelsiusGPS training

  • Evaluates new and current surgeon proctors for the Globus Medical Preceptorship program

  • Manages expenses within budget

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with excellent academic achievement

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical support or relevant experience in the healthcare industry, spine experience is a plus

  • 2+ years of supervisory/management experience required

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams and communicate in a timely manner

  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills including attention to detail

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, procedures, and evaluation criteria

  • Ability to travel 50% - 70% on a regular basis to meet with field team and with customers required. Overnight travel as needed.

  • Needs Valid Passport
