CMHA is looking to hire a Clinical Education Coordinator. This position will be located at 233 Main St. New Britain CT, 06051. Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM.
 
Compensation Range: The annual salary range for this position starts at $70,500.
Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. Position Summary: The Clinical Education Coordinator spearheads and develops training services and professional development programs to enhance the skills and abilities of CMHA clinical employees, while also offering educational opportunities to external professionals.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Works with agency leaders on establishing clinical training goals for the organization.
  • Develops and facilitates continued education credit trainings (CECs) to CMHA staff and external professionals as requested.
  • Leads clinical consultation teams and provides supervision to staff earning their specialization in evidenced based models, such as MI, CBT and DBT.
  • Acts as a resource to program leaders for clinical training, high risk clinical cases, and chairing clinical consultation meetings.
  • Develops and facilitates training for new and existing clinical staff on clinical
  • documentation.
  • Co- Leads, with Performance Improvement, the agency’s Learning and Development Committee quarterly to review clinical training and development needs for employees.
  • Works collaboratively with Performance Improvement by conducting audits of clinical documentation and quality of care, offering informed analysis and actionable recommendations to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Works collaboratively with External Relations, Human Resources, and Program leaders gaining understanding of clinical training needs to address retention of current clinical staff, recruitment of new clinical staff, and quality of clinical treatment provided to clients.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree or higher in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, alcohol and drug counseling) or Public Health required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the delivery of mental health and addiction services with adults, families, children and/or adolescents.
  • Expert knowledge of specific Evidenced Based Practices, preferably a minimum of 3 years.
  • Successful experience serving in a clinical management role with experience providing training to such group, preferably a minimum of three years.
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License.
  • Connecticut Licensure in a Behavioral Health discipline. (LCSW, LPC, Psy D, or PHD)
