Our client in the Healthcare and Medical Industry has a position for a Clinical Data Analyst based in Johannesburg area.
Requirements:
Bsc Degree / Bsc Honours in Data Science or Health Informatics or Statistics or Computer Science or related field
Masters degree will be an advantage
Minimum of 5 years experience in Clinical or Healthcare Data Analysis
Experience working in a healthcare, clinical research or medical data environment (Compulsary)
Strong SQL Skills with proven ability to query, manipulate and manage complex datasets
Proficiency in Power BI or Visualization/BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik)
Solid understanding of clinical coding standards and terminologies e.g. (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED ect.)
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills to translate technical data insights into business/clinical language
Duties:
Advanced SQL ProgrammingΒ
Data visualization using Power BI or equivalent
Proficiency in MS Excel and Data manipulation techniques
Knowledge of clinical coding systems
Familiarty with relational databases and data warehousing concepts
Understanding of healthcare informatics and clinical workflows
Statistical analysis knowledge (R, Python or SAS) advantageous
