Position Summary

The Survey Specialist is responsible for driving regulatory compliance and survey readiness across all United Energy Workers Healthcare locations. This role leads proactive initiatives for mock surveys, supports live survey execution, facilitates compliance education, and helps implement corrective actions. Working collaboratively with Clinical Services, Compliance, Operations, and People Operations, the Survey Specialist ensures consistent quality and regulatory alignment across branches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Compliance Knowledge
    Stay up to date on ACHC and state regulations relevant to each location.

  • Prepare for Surveys
    Create tools and lead mock surveys to help branches get ready for accreditation and state reviews.

  • Support During Live Surveys
    Help branches during actual surveys by preparing documents, coaching staff, and communicating with surveyors.

  • Guide Teams on Compliance
    Identify issues, offer clear feedback, and support branches in fixing problems.

  • Improve Processes
    Analyze survey results to spot trends and suggest improvements across all branches.

  • Assist with Corrective Actions
    Help develop and monitor follow-up plans after surveys to ensure issues are resolved.

  • Promote Learning
    Support training efforts to improve survey readiness and share best practices among teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position does not supervise other employees but offers subject matter guidance to clinical and compliance staff.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 50% travel to branch locations based on survey schedules and organizational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current RN license in good standing

  • 3+ years of experience in survey preparation, clinical compliance, or related role

  • Strong understanding of ACHC standards and relevant state regulations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to stay composed under pressure

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods

  • Capacity for frequent travel, including overnight stays

  • Ability to deliver training or consultation both virtually and in person, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
