Under general supervision, the Clinical Compliance Specialist is responsible for facilitating and managing clinical/practicum compliance requirements for all students enrolled in Health Sciences in collaboration with Program Directors and Clinical Coordinators.Β 



What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership in all areas of clinical compliance.
  • Facilitate communication among faculty, clinical partners, and students regarding compliance requirements.
  • Protect sensitive information and maintain confidentiality in accordance with college policies, FERPA, and HIPAA.
  • Consult with the Dean of Health Sciences, Program Directors, Clinical Coordinators, and the Administrative Team to share updates and implement changes in clinical requirements.
  • Request student clearance from hospitals/clinical agencies based on criminal background and drug screen results.
  • Verify student health records and scan documents into the electronic repository.
  • Analyze and track compliance reporting on a consistent basis.
  • Report student non-compliance regularly to appropriate stakeholders (i.e. Program Directors, Clinical Coordinators, and Dean).
  • Operate and maintain standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, calculators, and telephones.
  • Participate in division and institutional meetings, committees, and other assigned activities.
  • Attend in-service training and professional development opportunities, including off-campus activities, to enhance skills and stay current with technological and compliance developments.
  • Assist with Health Sciences Division activities such as phone coverage, recruitment, and community events to support student success.
  • Complete duties and responsibilities in compliance with college standards, policies, and procedures.

What We Are Looking For

  • Associate’s degree in Office Administration or related field from a regionally accredited institution
  • Minimum of three years of full-time clerical experience in a college, university, or healthcare setting.

Additional Information

Work Environment: Primarily office environment; Daily interaction with students, faculty, staff, and clinical agency representatives; Frequent use of computers and electronic systems to track and maintain student compliance records; May involve reviewing confidential healthcare documentation, requiring adherence to strict privacy and data security standards; Occasional participation in recruitment events, meetings, or division activities may require movement across campus or limited off-campus travel.Requires maintaining effective working relationships with internal departments and external healthcare partners.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and through electronic communication.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching to retrieve files or documents.
  • Ability to lift or move materials such as files, boxes of records, or office supplies up to 15–20 pounds.

Normal Working Hours: Standard schedule, Monday – Friday; occasional schedule adjustments to support meetings, recruitment events, or division activities.
