The Department of Physical Therapy in the College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida invites forward-thinking, energetic, creative physical therapists to apply for a Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor and Director of Clinical Education position. This is a 12-month, full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure track teaching related appointment. This position includes administrative assignment to the clinical education curriculum to ensure the quality and consistency of our student clinical experiences, teaching in areas of UFDPT program need and the applicant’s area of expertise, contributions to department and university committees, participating in community service initiatives, and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the program. Key Responsibilities: Administration: The Director of Clinical Education (DCE) primary duties are to plan, coordinate, facilitate, administer, and monitor the clinical education component of the DPT program in coordination with two assistant directors of clinical education and an administrative specialist.
Teaching: Teach in the area of content expertise and programmatic need. This includes classroom instruction as lead or co-instructor, mentoring and advising DPT students, and participating in the development/design and revision of the UFDPT curriculum. Scholarly Work: Contribute to scholarly activity within the area of teaching and/or clinical expertise. Service: Participate actively as a member of the university community on administrative committees, search committees, in department, college and university governance activities, student advising, and community engagement/service learning activities. Department Overview: The Department of Physical Therapy is housed within the College of Public Health and Health Professions and is well integrated within the Health Science Center, providing a wealth of opportunities for enrichment and collaborations in teaching and scholarly activity. Minimum Requirements: |
A post-professional doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) or post-professional Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, etc.). Licensed, or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Florida. |

We seek someone who demonstrates initiative and is a highly organized problem solver with the ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, clinicians, and others from a broad range of backgrounds.
