What will you be doing in your role?
Client Engagement
- Be officed at the local College where you will have regular coaching sessions with all the students on your caseload.
- Engage each client by maintaining regular contact to monitor and track progress in response to services.
- Develop educational approaches for diverse populations, assisting clients with navigating the college system and campus resources.
Case Management
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized service plan with the client to address identified needs within established time frame.
- Motivate and empower clients to identify and establish goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.
- Assist clients either directly or through workshops offered and/or referrals to learn any new skills and build new competencies that the client needs/wants to empower them to be successful in school and build a secure future.
- Assist clients with resource planning and/or financial assistance to eliminate potential barriers to college completion.
Documentation
- Complete all necessary documentation in our online database to ensure compliance with funding requirements and agency quality assurance standards.
- Monitor student progress through consistent documentation, data tracking, and reporting to support program outcomes and continuous improvement.
Student Recruitment & Enrollment
- Participate in proactive recruitment and enrollment activities to promote the program with our campus partner and solicit student interest.
- Collaborate with campus partners to promote program awareness and guide prospective students through the enrollment and onboarding process.
Campus & Community Partner Relationships
- Be familiar with agency, campus partner, and community resources to provide clients with appropriate referrals as needed.
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively with team members in-person or via online methods.
- Serve as a liaison between the agency, campus partners, and community stakeholders to ensure coordinated support and effective communication.
Are you the next Client Navigator for Stay the Course?
- Bachelor’s Degree in in social services, education or related field required.
- Master's degree in social work or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in higher education or college advisement, and networking preferred.
- Familiarity with low-income populations, and first-generation college students required.
- Bilingual skills in a common client language are preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license, and evidence of auto liability insurance.
