Biomed Clinical Support - Dialysis

Job Summary:

The Biomedical Technician is responsible for overseeing the overall operational condition, maintenance and repair of all water treatment equipment, all medical equipment and mechanical/electrical systems to ensure patient safety and the safety of all staff operating such equipment for their assigned clinic(s).

Education and Training:

• Associate in Applied Science degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics or military equivalent required.

Licensures/Certifications:

• AAMI/BMET certification required.

Experience:

• Preferred- 4 years of experience with medical electronic devices at circuit level.

Skills and Abilities: 

• Be familiar with all emergency equipment and emergency operational procedures.
• Use appropriate safety measures including personal protective equipment as necessary.
• Be familiar with codes and OSHA regulations.
• Good communication skills
• Comprehends medical electronic equipment and systems to a degree to enable modification of existing systems as required
