Why You’ll Love This Role:

Not a fan of sitting behind a desk all day? As a Behavioral Health Case Manager, you’ll be out in the community—meeting clients where they live, work, and go to school. Every day is different. Some days you’ll be helping families access vital resources, other days you’ll be sitting down with a child’s school team or medical provider to coordinate care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Meet with children and families to assess needs and create service plans
  • Link families to community resources—medical, social, educational, and more
  • Involve clients, families, and key partners in decision-making
  • Work toward improving each child’s overall level of functioning through coordinated support
Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements for Behavioral Health Case Manager:

  • Bachelor’s in the field of social work, criminal justice, psychology or special education is required. 
  • A minimum of one year’s experience working with emotionally disturbed children and their families is needed.
  • One year of previous Targeted Case Management experience. 
  • Good computer skills and adapting to electronic health record changes. 
  • Reliable transportation with liability insurance, a FL driver’s license and good driving record are also required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Current Targeted Case Manager certification preferred; if not certified, must receive appropriate training and attain the certification within three months of hire.
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
