You will mentor and train providers, lead educational initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to close performance gaps. With a focus on evidence-based practice and continuous improvement, you will also maintain a portion of active clinical practice to ensure credibility and insight into real-world care delivery. Success in this role requires a balance of leadership, educational expertise, and hands-on clinical experience, with opportunities to shape the future of clinical education within a large, collaborative healthcare organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver high-impact clinical education to physicians and advanced practice providers, both in-person and virtually, focusing on population health, value-based care, and senior care best practices.
  • Lead onboarding, continuing education, performance improvement training, and Grand Rounds sessions across multiple markets.
  • Maintain active clinical practice to inform teaching approaches and ensure ongoing clinical credibility.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based guidelines, pathways, and standards, supporting residency programs, academic partnerships, and provider development initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical and non-clinical educators, fostering a culture of excellence and shared best practices.
  • Collaborate with market leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze data, address performance gaps, and improve clinical outcomes.
  • Participate in operational committees, internal meetings, and recruiting activities to represent clinical education and align programs with organizational priorities.

Requirements:

  • Board-certified MD or DO in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine with an active medical license.
  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical practice experience, with significant exposure to value-based primary care.
  • Proven experience in teaching, mentoring, and training physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, Medicare Advantage, quality improvement, coding, and utilization management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical education, performance improvement, or medical staff management.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable training and operational improvements.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical technology tools; familiarity with Athena EMR preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% to support market-based education initiatives.
  • Preferred: experience in academic medicine, residency programs, CME-level education, or APP mentorship.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $223,800 to $313,100 per year, with eligibility for performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement savings plan with 401(k) options.
  • Paid time off, holidays, volunteer leave, and parental/caregiver leave.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and career advancement.
  • Flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance and personal well-being.
  • Supportive, mission-driven environment focused on whole-person care and clinical excellence.
