We are seeking a dynamic physician leader to drive clinical education and enhance care delivery across primary care markets. This role combines active clinical practice, market-based teaching, and leadership of provider education programs to advance clinical excellence and support value-based, senior-focused care. You will mentor and train providers, lead educational initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to close performance gaps. With a focus on evidence-based practice and continuous improvement, you will also maintain a portion of active clinical practice to ensure credibility and insight into real-world care delivery. Success in this role requires a balance of leadership, educational expertise, and hands-on clinical experience, with opportunities to shape the future of clinical education within a large, collaborative healthcare organization.
Accountabilities:
- Deliver high-impact clinical education to physicians and advanced practice providers, both in-person and virtually, focusing on population health, value-based care, and senior care best practices.
- Lead onboarding, continuing education, performance improvement training, and Grand Rounds sessions across multiple markets.
- Maintain active clinical practice to inform teaching approaches and ensure ongoing clinical credibility.
- Develop and implement evidence-based guidelines, pathways, and standards, supporting residency programs, academic partnerships, and provider development initiatives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical and non-clinical educators, fostering a culture of excellence and shared best practices.
- Collaborate with market leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze data, address performance gaps, and improve clinical outcomes.
- Participate in operational committees, internal meetings, and recruiting activities to represent clinical education and align programs with organizational priorities.
Requirements:
- Board-certified MD or DO in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine with an active medical license.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical practice experience, with significant exposure to value-based primary care.
- Proven experience in teaching, mentoring, and training physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, Medicare Advantage, quality improvement, coding, and utilization management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical education, performance improvement, or medical staff management.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable training and operational improvements.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical technology tools; familiarity with Athena EMR preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% to support market-based education initiatives.
- Preferred: experience in academic medicine, residency programs, CME-level education, or APP mentorship.
