Assistant Professor of Recreation. Northwest Missouri State University. Maryville, MO.Ā 
Directly support undergraduate and graduate programs in parks, recreation, and tourism through course instruction, student advisement, and collaborative curriculum management. Assignments include courses related to planning, tourism, commercial recreation, finance and marketing in recreation, and other courses. Student advisement and mentorship, supervision of internships, active participation in school university committees and initiative, and engagement in creative and scholarly work. Develop and deliver graduate and undergraduate courses in the parks, recreation, and tourism curriculum utilizing both online and on-campus modes of delivery. Supervise undergraduate and graduate field experiences and internships. Establish significant contributions of creative and scholarly research, participation in the generation and sharing of knowledge through conference presentations, and journal publications. Assist with student recruitment, advisement, development, and retention. Actively participate in related professional and community organizations and serve on departmental, college, and university committees. Requires a Ph.D. in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Leisure Behavior, or a closely related field. One year of experience in any higher education teaching role. Experience may be gained during a post-secondary degree program.
