POSITION SUMMARY: Assistant professor to serve as 9-month faculty in the Undergraduate Health Sciences program. The individual in this position will teach in the health sciences undergraduate program and take a lead role in advising and preparing health sciences students in the pre-physical therapy and/or pre-athletic training track. 

Preferred start date is August 2026. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • The individual will teach and develop Undergraduate Health Sciences courses in relevant areas of expertise.
  • The individual will oversee the pre-AT and/or pre-PT track in Health Sciences with regard to advising and recruitment of undergraduate students into the graduate MSAT and/or DPT program
  • Faculty in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences and the College of Health are expected to collaborate in team-teaching within the program(s), participate in interprofessional education across the School and College, and assist in all aspects of program design, development, implementation, assessment, and administration.
  • Preference will be given to individuals with both clinical and teaching experience. 

 

All positions are subject to budget availability.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree, required. Doctoral degree preferred.
  • 3 years of practice experience preferred.
  • Holds or is eligible for state licensure in Pennsylvania in a related clinical profession (preferably Athletic Training or Physical Therapy).
  • Teaching experience at the University level, preferred.
