Highlights:

Summary: The Ambulatory Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible to collaborate with ambulatory clinic staff, as well as IT to develop IT system efficacy. The Ambulatory CI Specialist will provide initial clinical application training to new staff, as well as continuing education/training and support. The CI specialist will work to resolve problems quickly and efficiently in collaboration with IT clinical analysts while utilizing the change management process. CI specialists will act as a resource and liaison at ambulatory staff meetings throughout the healthcare system. The Ambulatory CI Specialist will also assist IT with implementations and system upgrades of ambulatory clinical applications. Education / Experience:High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years of medical practice experience preferred. Experience as an ambulatory clinical IT subject matter expert or Super-User preferred with certified EHR applications. License / Certification: Active CMA/RMA, LPN, or RN license preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• A demonstrated interest in Healthcare Information Technology (IT) either through course work, experience in an ambulatory setting with the selection or implementation of a clinical information system.
• Ability to work independently, and manage multiple projects, with strong prioritizing skills.
• Ability to provide formal and informal technology teaching and competency validation.
• Strong understanding of ambulatory clinic workflow processes, resulting in current and future workflow enhancements and performance improvements to support nursing and physician practice.
• Self-direction in utilizing resources to meet objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organization, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for 50% of the workday and mobility 50% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
