About Our Client
Our client is redefining how life sciences organizations commercialize their products by building a commercial engine that enables pharmaceutical marketers to control their content supply chain. They work with 50+ top life sciences manufacturers and marketing agencies, serving numerous pharmaceutical brands, and are innovating at the forefront of AI and large language models.

About the Role
We are looking for a Lead AI Medical Editor to join the core team and set the gold standard for compliant, scientifically accurate pharmaceutical marketing content. This role will serve as the final quality control step for AI-generated content, ensuring it is medically validated, brand-aligned, and regulatory compliant before delivery to pharmaceutical marketing teams. This role will be integral to shaping how life sciences companies create, review, approve, and deploy content at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate AI-generated marketing content for medical accuracy, clinical soundness, and compliance with FDA/EMA regulations.

  • Serve as the lead quality control editor for the team, ensuring all content meets brand standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with design, copywriting, and AI teams to ensure alignment between generated content and client expectations.

  • Define editorial and compliance standards; partner with product and AI teams to maintain consistent, high-quality outputs.

  • Shape next-generation review workflows to improve AI understanding of clinical claims and risk areas.

  • Provide editorial leadership and mentorship to scale medical review capabilities.

  • Edit promotional material for global pharmaceutical clients, ensuring:

    • Language, grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.

    • Consistency of language.

    • Adherence to brand style and client guidelines.

    • Formatting in line with journal/congress requirements.

    • Compliance with style guides (e.g., AMA Manual of Style, brand style guides, client guidelines).

  • Deliver high-quality edits that exceed client expectations.

  • Contribute to team initiatives such as knowledge-sharing and documentation of resources.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Life Sciences or English.

  • Excellent written and spoken English (TOEFL/IELTS preferred).

  • 1–4 years of medical editing experience, ideally in pharmaceutical marketing or a closely related industry.

  • Deep medical and regulatory expertise, with strong understanding of life sciences marketing, medical affairs, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, OPDP, MLR review).

  • Keen eye for detail — ability to identify subtle errors (“needles in a haystack”).

  • Exceptional editorial precision and attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements in pharmaceutical marketing.

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Ability to work independently under tight timelines in a collaborative environment.

  • Curiosity about AI and its role in enhancing medical review processes.

  • Independent thinking, ownership, and a collaborative mindset.

Interview Process

  1. Initial screening call.

  2. Technical assessment (2–3 hours) based on brand guidelines and error identification.

  3. Final interview with the core team.

Additional Notes

  • This is a niche role, requiring a combination of medical editing expertise and regulatory knowledge.

  • Experience working with pharmaceutical marketing teams is strongly preferred.

  • Candidates may undergo a trial period (1–2 days) to confirm fit before a full hire.

  • This role offers the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of AI in life sciences, shaping the future of medical content review for pharmaceutical marketing at scale.
