PRIMARY DUTY: The School of Health Science and Wellness at Northwest Missouri State University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach on-line courses in the following academic disciplines: Health & Physical Education, Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, and Sport Management.  Courses are primarily at the graduate level, but undergraduate teaching opportunities may also be available. 
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Teach online courses within a specific discipline, primarily at the graduate level. .
  2. Collaborate with campus faculty.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
      Education: Earned Doctorate degree in specific disciplines listed above
      Experience: Prior experience in online classroom instruction and work in specific discipline
      Skills: Demonstrated innovative teaching methodologies to engage learners; instructional technology skills; interpersonal skills, including oral communication and collaboration; committed to a focus on student success

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      Experience: At least three years of experience in online classroom instruction and work in specific discipline
      Skills: Experience in on-line course design, experience in coordination of on-line learning programs.
 

WORKING CONDITIONS: Collaborative team-based faculty working in an academic environment 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to complete essential classroom functions and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
